Besides the various coaching interventions that take place, in 2016 we held our first “Platinum Cup” 2 day soccer tournament. Each participant of the final match received a medal and certificate. This tournament is going to be an annual event with a floating trophy passed from winner to winner each year. The area fielded 6 adult teams and 5 youth teams who took part in the event. All of which were local residents.
In 2017 we celebrated, Junior and Senior team winners with over 200 players playing for the trophy. We looking to the future with excitement as we see huge growth and potential in sports.
We also looking at netball and cricket offerings for our “platinum stars” in the near future.
